    A booking slot carries the instructor, start time, duration, capacity, title, and public notes shown to the client.

    The client chooses the appointment

    The public private-sessions view shows available slots and eligible publicly bookable private sessions for the selected date.

    Mojo applies access and membership rules

    The client verifies access, completes required profile fields, and chooses an eligible membership or class pack when the studio requires one.

    The time becomes a private-session record

    Booking an open slot converts it into a confirmed private-session event and creates the client's attendance record. The attendance status still follows the current first-booking and review rules.

Mojo does not automatically optimize staff workloads, choose an instructor for the client, or distribute appointments through a marketplace.

    The booked appointment stays assigned to the instructor whose availability the client selected.

How do clients choose a private session? +
Clients open the studio's public Private Sessions tab, choose an available time or eligible public private session, and complete the required booking steps in their browser.
What happens when a booking slot is booked? +
Mojo locks the available slot, converts that event into a confirmed private session, and creates the client's attendance record. If another booking already took the slot, Mojo returns the client to current availability.
Is the client attendance always confirmed? +
Not necessarily. The private-session event becomes confirmed, while the new attendance follows current booking rules. A client's first attendance can remain in review until the studio confirms it.
Can private sessions require a membership or class pack? +
Yes. When the studio requires membership coverage, Mojo checks for an eligible active plan and routes the client to available plan choices when coverage is missing.
Can an owner add or edit a private session directly? +
Yes. Owners and permitted managers can create or edit private sessions, assign the instructor and client context, set the time and duration, and control whether an eligible session is publicly bookable.
Does Mojo assign the best available instructor automatically? +
No. The studio creates the available times and assigns their instructors. Mojo shows those choices and preserves the selected assignment; it does not optimize or redistribute staff automatically.
