A free booking setup can be enough for a teacher running a few classes, especially when payments and cancellations are easy to manage. A studio selling class packs or coordinating several instructors has more to check before choosing a plan.
Start with how your classes work: who reserves a place, how they pay, and what happens when they cancel. Then compare the plans that support that routine.

Three meanings of "free"
A free plan has no subscription charge, but may limit bookings or charge a percentage of online payments. A free trial gives you time to evaluate a paid plan. A manual setup can have no software subscription while leaving you responsible for confirmations, payment records, and changes.
Keep these differences visible when comparing prices. A monthly price of zero does not tell you the total cost or the work the software covers.
Options for a small Yoga studio
| Setup | Subscription | Main consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Messages and a shared booking list | Can avoid an additional subscription if you use tools you already have | You confirm places and maintain the list yourself |
| Bookwhen Free | Free; 50 bookings/month, one team member, one booking page | Advertised for free events |
| Momoyoga Free | €0 subscription | 5% platform fee on online payments, plus payment processing |
| Mojo | €10/month after a 15-day trial | Paid studio plan; no credit card needed to start the trial |

Bookwhen counts booking transactions rather than individual attendees toward its allowance. Its Free plan cannot collect payments or display ticket prices, and excludes passes, waiting lists, and automated event reminders. That makes it an option for free community classes rather than a like-for-like substitute for a paid studio workflow. Bookwhen Free documentation.
Momoyoga Free supports paid classes, with limits including two membership/class-pass options. Momoyoga plan comparison. Check country availability in its plan documentation and the tools your studio needs before signing up.
When a free setup is enough
If you teach one weekly class to a regular group and can maintain an accurate booking list, a manual setup may meet your needs. Keep one source of truth for confirmed places and a clear cancellation rule. Tell clients whether sending a message reserves their place or whether they need your confirmation.
Free-event software may suit a community session where nobody pays to attend. A commission-based free plan may suit a teacher whose eligible online receipts are still low.
Review the choice when clients need to use class-pack credits, a second instructor needs access, or cancellations regularly require you to reconcile several records. Those are specific requirements to check against the plan you are considering.

Compare costs using your own payments
For a hypothetical €1,000 collected online through Momoyoga Free, its 5% platform fee would be €50, with payment-processing fees additional. Published fee terms.
Use the amount processed through the platform, rather than your studio's entire revenue. Then compare subscription charges, platform fees, processing fees, applicable taxes, and any paid add-ons for the features you need. Annual-billing prices also involve a different commitment from monthly subscriptions.
This calculation compares one cost component. It does not establish that another platform has the same capabilities or will be cheaper overall.
Test a class before committing
Run a practice booking through the system with a class that reflects your schedule:
- Open the booking link on a phone and reserve a place.
- Check how a client pays or uses a class-pack credit, if your classes require it.
- Fill the class and inspect the full-class or waiting-list behavior.
- Cancel a reservation and check the place, payment, and credit records.
- Ask another instructor to check the class list and record attendance.
Use the results to choose. A free plan that handles your routine is a reasonable starting point. A paid plan becomes relevant when it covers work or requirements your current setup leaves with you.

Where Mojo fits
Mojo brings bookings, class packs, reminders, and attendance into the studio workflow. Staff confirm places for waitlisted clients. Clients book in their browser, so you can share a booking link on Instagram or your website. See the Yoga booking workflow.
Try it with a class from your own timetable and inspect the steps above. If it fits, publish the class and share the link with your clients. The useful test is whether a real client can book and your team can manage that reservation.
No credit card required; the studio plan is €10/month. See pricing and trial terms, including access after the trial.
